At Swan Lane First School we endeavour to make our learning interesting and engaging for the children. Throughout the school, children participate in an hour of Literacy and Numeracy each day. In addition to this, children learn a wide range of topics and skills in Science, Computing, History, Geography, Music, RE, PE, PSHE, Art and Design, Design Technology and French (in Key stage 2).
The Curriculum is carefully planned with children in Year 1 & 2 and Year 3 & 4 being taught on either Cycle A or Cycle B. This systematic plan operates across all subjects, ensuring that every child covers 100% of the National Curriculum contents, with no repetition. Our comprehensive Curriculum plans are available on the school website.
