House Cup
During our PE Lessons we participate in the Swan Lane House Cup. Points are awarded each week to one Sports Star in each year group and through different sporting competitions such as Dodgeball, Football, Handball and Skill Challenges.
Sports Clubs at Swan Lane
At Swan Lane First School there is a variety of clubs held after school and at lunch times.
Our Sports Coaches run a mixture of sports clubs which include football, multi-sports, badminton, tennis, basketball and a dance club to name just a few. Your child will receive a letter about the sports clubs available each term.
Our school participates in the local schools football league for boys and the girls also have a football team in years 4 and 5, who compete in local tournaments. Our year 4 girls played particularly well this year, winning the local tournament. Each year our school also competes in the local swimming gala, which is always a very competitive and fun event.
We believe that these clubs provide the children with an invaluable opportunity to explore other interests and hobbies.
