The Year 2 children launched into their History today, learning about the Great Fire Of London. The children had made mock Tudor houses over the half term and today they lit the houses out on the playground and watched as the flames quickly spread from one house to another, just like they did in the actual Great Fire.  They have spent time today learning about the fire brigade in 1666 and have passed buckets of water along a row to see how long it took to get water to a fire back then. They even sang a beautiful rendition of London's Burning whilst the houses were alight on the playground. Thank you to all of the parents and carers for your support -we have kept some of the houses for a display in the classrooms.
